As Mansfield Christian School enters our seventh decade, we have developed a bold and intentional plan of action to expand and deepen our footprint. Your contribution to Mansfield Christian School allows us to continue providing opportunities for our children’s spiritual and educational development.
We have identified the need for 11 new, traditional classrooms, six new rooms for specialty classes such as STEM, Art, Band, Choir, Media Production, and the new Career Academy Program, expanded office and tutoring spaces, a second lunchroom, a larger weight room, and a staff restroom.
Central to this giving opportunity is the construction of a multipurpose gathering space to serve as an auditorium, chapel, and high school gymnasium. This addition will allow a designated space for daily chapels that encourages student worship and cultivates spiritual growth.

The Career Academy Program (MCCAP) is a unique, two-year program for high school students who choose to focus on careers in medicine, STEM, business, and ministry. The program will include courses specific to each field, internships, mentorships, and experiential learning. MCCAP is ready to launch this winter with the School of Health Professions. Learn more »
The Mansfield Christian School District
We are creating a district model to expand our regional influence in underserved markets and in other Christian schools. We want to create a network of schools that keep their local identity, but become feeder schools for MCS by becoming part of the Mansfield Christian School District.
Phase I – Launch of the Mansfield Christian Career Academy Program
Phase II – New personnel and curriculum [$200,000]
Phase III – Pilot the district model to expand regional influence [$1,000,000]
GIVE TO THE COMMUNITY IMPACT CAMPAIGN
The recruitment and retention of the best possible faculty, staff, and administration, by significantly investing in compensation and benefits, is an immediate priority of the master plan. We also plan to eliminate current debt and create new opportunities for legacy giving and estate planning.
Phase I – Board-authorized 6% salary increase [$270,000]
This included a 6% raise of the base starting wage for the 22-23 school year, new retirement benefits, and new contract terms that are the most generous our employees have ever received.
Phase II – Be, at-minimum, within 80% of the public-school salary schedule at each level of a teacher’s career [$500,000]
To do so, we will need to increase salaries by an average of 5% each year, over the next 7 years, which is an increase in spending of roughly $50,000 dollars per year.
Phase III – Eliminate current debt [$1,000,000]
Taxpayers now have a cost-free way to contribute to the students at Mansfield Christian School. With Ohio’s new state tax credit, individuals who donate to a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) can receive a dollar-for-dollar reduction in their state taxes up to $750. These funds can be designated specifically to MCS.
The Century Club fund allows the school to respond to pressing needs, such as system-wide maintenance and improvements, property and facility renovations, security measures, classroom resources, and capital projects. A minimum donation commitment of $2,500 annually registers the donor as an MCS Century Club member.
Christian education is one of the most important investments a family can make for their child’s future, and we recognize the financial commitment. Some families have unique circumstances that may limit their ability to pay tuition. The Joseph Fund helps meet temporary needs of families facing unexpected financial hardships to stay at Mansfield Christian.
The Annual Fund allows the school flexibility to respond to our greatest needs, such as program enrichment, innovative curriculum, staff retention, professional development, and system-wide maintenance and improvements. Giving to this fund provides students and staff enhanced opportunities in all areas of life and learning.
Mission trips are central to the spiritual growth of students. Every two years, MCS students are given the opportunity to work with the children at Fountain of Life Christian School in the Dominican Republic. Giving to this fund provides financial assistance to students who desire to serve in the DR, but need help raising the necessary funds for travel.
The Educator Fund is an excellent means of thanking our employees for the incredible work they do every day with our students. This fund will receive donations for Christmas bonuses and teacher appreciation. In many ways, COVID changed the face of education in our country, but despite new technologies and techniques, one thing remained true and became even more clear to all of us – an excellent teacher will always be the most significant factor for student success.
We strive to preserve the legacy built on the last 60 years of faithfully serving Christ and launch it into new territory so that our children can pursue excellence in all they do academically, creatively, and athletically.
