FAQs: Independent Studies

We offer a varity of publishers so families are able to choose what will work best for their students. Some publishers include Bob Jones, Abeka, IEW, Sonlight, Saxon and more!

We provide textbooks and teaching materials. We also are able to provide student workbooks. Each family is provided with a licensed and trained coordinator to assist in choosing courses and curriculum for each student and his/her individual needs.

IS Secondary students may take up to 3 classes on campus beginning in their 7th grade year. These classes can include core classes such as math, science and history options as well other courses including our foreign language, media production or fine art offerings.

Yes. Independent Studies students are considered fully enrolled at MCS. Secondary students can attend field trips and class trips along with participating in all special events and clubs held throughout the school year.
