ADMISSION PROCESS
Our mission as a Christian school is to assist you in the teaching and training of your children. We strive to be an extension of the home and the church, by providing a loving, cooperative, and committed partnership so that students may be educated in the Truth and shown the love of Christ.
1. Print and fill out the application. You may call and request an application be mailed to you.
2. Parents/guardians submit the application and application fee to Mansfield Christian School.
3. Upon receipt of the application and required items needed to begin the application process,
the principal will schedule an interview and student testing (K-12).
4. Classroom sizes are limited; therefore it is in your best interest to begin the application
process early.
5. Approval of admission to Mansfield Christian School will be based on:
a. The purpose for applying to Mansfield Christian School
b. Involvement in a Bible-believing church
c. Parents’ and applicant’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ
d. Lifestyle of the family and its compatibility with the philosophy of Mansfield Christian School
e. Lifestyle of the individual applicant and conduct in previous school
f. Current grade card/academic including standardized test scores
6. After consideration of the application, the placement test, and the interview you will receive
a letter of acceptance or denial.
7. If acceptance is granted all the enrollment paperwork and payment information will
accompany your acceptance letter. Your child is not enrolled in (or at) MCS until the
registration fee and enrollment paperwork is received by the Central Office.
GRADE PLACEMENT CRITERIA – 2012-2013
PreK (2 day – Tue/Thu) 8:30 – 11am OR 12– 2:30pm
Students should be 3 years old on or before September 30. Students must be completely toilet-trained.
PreK (3 day – Mon/Wed/Fri) 8– 11am OR 12 – 3pm
Students must be 4 years old on or before September 30th
PreK (5 Day – Mon-Fri) 8-11am
Students must be 4 years old on or before September 30th
Kindergarten
Students must be 5 years old on or before September 30th
First grade
Students must have successfully completed kindergarten.
Second – Twelfth grades
Students must have successfully completed the previous grade.
