MCS Online Equipment Requirements

General Information

America Online and Netscape do not interface with MCS Online courses and should not be used. Windows XP is the preferred operating system.

Hardware support is not provided. Software support is available through the use of the mentor. All applicable course software and materials will be provided as determined by MCS Online administration.

Either one of the two lists below fulfill the minimum system requirements.

• PC (IBM Compatible)
• Pentium II processor (233MHz minimum, higher recommended)
• Windows XP operating system
• 256 MB RAM
• 12x CD-Rom drive
• Broadband Internet access > 1.5mbps
• Monitor display setting 1024x768
• Printer
• Backup/save method (CD-Rom, flash drive)
• Microsoft Office software
• Web browser (Internet Explorer 5.5, or Firefox)
• Flash Player 7

• Power Mac G3 processor
• OSX operating system
• 128 MB RAM
• 12x CD-Rom drive
• 56Kbps modem
• Monitor display setting 1024x768
• Printer
